My Laptop & Child Labour
It’s been nearly a month now. My laptop’s motherboard (apparently) burned… a month ago! An whole month to replace a stinking motherboard… It is my belief that my laptop is in a damp dark basement somewhere, suffering a vain attempt of repair from a 10 year-old peg legged corean kid…
Lappy, if you’re reading this, I promise I’ll never name you “X-Tupid” again, and I’ll throw in some decent 64bit OS (WXP just for the gaming, ok?). Come back… you’re forgiven! ….snif…

Found a way to rid myself clean of pain
And the fever that’s been haunting me
Has gone away
Looking through my window
I seem to recognize
All the people passing by
But I am alone
And far from home
And nobody knows me
Never heard me say goodbye
Never shall I speak to anyone again
All days are in darkness
And I’m biding my time
Once I am sure of my task I will rise again
This the smothest track from Opeth’s latest album Ghost Reveries. The music is not at all as dark as the lyrics alone may transmit, and Mikael Akerfeldt’s sothing and mellow voice interprets someone with a resolute inner peace. Akerfeldt’s singing in this track has a touch of Diana Krall’s, wich is unheard of in any other Opeth’s song. Once again, Mikael shows the versatility of his amazing vocal capability.
Great WKND!
Ohh yes… what a great weekend it was!
Warm weather, lovely beach, fulminating racket-ball playing, salty and muddy country & sea-side bike riding and a very enjoyable cinema session (The Brothers Grimm). Algarve was full of life, as usual. Thanks to all the intervenients (Li, Nelson and my sweet angel).
