Backups

May 14th, 2006

Some days ago, I was very nervous and tired trying to finish a project. My boyfriend is always telling me to do backups, but this time my last backup was from two hours before I had a big big problem. After working hours and hours in this project, when I tryed to open it again AutoCad showed me something like this: Internal Error: !dbqspace.cpp@1954: eUnknownHandle. Great!…all I needed was this. After crying out a little I called Tiago and thanks to him I calmed myself. He told me to google that and I found out that this is an AutoCAD Error Aborting, something that can occur to anyone because AutoCad occasionaly generates a fatal error, and the error message that is displayed begins with the words “DBQSPACE”. I also found the solutions Autodesk suggest. You can find them here. Always talking to him on the phone I tried to follow a suggested method to recover the corrupt drawing or parts of it…and my prayers were listened because I recovered all I had done! :)

Honestly this convinced me to do backups all the time!…
