Healing@home May 19th, 2013
We decided that my hometown was the right place for us to heal for a few days. And so we did.
There was one day I thought I was going to die. Somehow the ambulance took me to the hospital in time and I was there for more hours then I would want to, but I survived. Again.
Despite all that, being at home helped us heal. A lot. That, and having the best parents on earth. I love you so much, you know that.
I had my surgical staples removed while I was there…and the nurse who took them?…was the very same woman that held me when I was born.30 years ago.

Pizzeria Balognett, a modest neighbourhood pizzeria among the residential streets of Tremezzo, is a hidden gem. It’s a tiny place staffed by one manager and one pizza chef, with a few plastic chairs and tables sat on the pretty lawn out front. But the inexpensive pizza, with garlicky toppings and crust so thin it’s hardly there, is some of the best you’ll taste anywhere.
